The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has generated a long-range forecast for the upcoming southwest monsoon season, which brings rainfall across the country from June to September.

India Metrological Department (IMD) declares a heatwave based on temperature data. A heatwave is declared when the highest temperature at a station surpasses 45 degrees Celsius. If it exceeds 47 degrees Celsius it is referred to as a severe heatwave.
