The Asia-Pacific Forum of Environmental Journalists(APFEJ) invites nominations for INTERNATIONAL GREEN PEN AWARDS.

The International Green Pen Award is presented each year at the APFEJ Annual World Congress for environmental journalists who have made a significant contribution in promoting environmental journalism.

The report prepared by Arid Communities and Technologies (ACT) Kutch, Gujarat on behalf of Sahajeevan Trust aims to prepare a guideline for groundwater legislation to protect drinking water sources in the taluka.

This papers models the saline water intrusion in the Bardez taluk of Goa.

The study is replete with hydrogeological maps and data. These include topographic contours, soil, landuse, rainfall, geology, location of observation wells etc.

The chapter on Water Resources from the Chhatisgarh State of the Environment Report, 2004 begins with a discussion of the problems in the State like (a) limited irrigation potential created (b) unbalanced irrigable land to cultivable land ratio in districts (c) low budget for maintenance of created irrigation facilities and (d) over-dependence on paddy cultivation.
