A five-year study conducted in the Sundarbans region has found that the rising water salinity level is threatening the habitat of Gangetic river dolphins.

Climate change is posing a challenge not only to agricultural crops but also to livestock. In order to sustain rural livelihoods, it is critical to identify livestock breeds that are climate resilient. In this direction, Indian scientists have identified two variables which could be used to assess resilience capacity of indigenous breeds of goats.

Hangul needs better protection
Look beyond protected areas for conservation of endangered hangul in Kashmir, says a study.

For the long-term conservation of critically endangered red deer or hangul in Kashmir, it is necessary to take up conservation efforts beyond protected areas, a new study has suggested.
