Last year, on August 22 outburst of an artificial lake near Rumbak region impacted the villages of Rumbak and Zingchen in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The Union Territory of Ladakh, with its exponential rise in tourist footfall, is grappling with the problem of waste disposal. The locals, on the other hand, get rid of their garbage by burning it.
